Loft Ladders Direct was founded on in 1988.

I completed a three year apprenticeship in wood machining in 1982, then progressed into self-employment and on-site carpentry & joinery in 1983. The experience I gained while working on house building has given me an insight into what should be aimed for through practical and safe working practice.

I believe the key to creating a successful business is to provide a personal service based on old fashioned values.

Unlike many of his competitors who I spoke to, Dave took the time to visit our house and undertake a thorough investigation before quoting.  He was then able to fit us in at a week's notice which was great.  He arrived at the agreed time and got straight to work. We were having a new hatch and ladder fitted, plus the loft boarded but there was minimal disruption caused and very little clearing up required. 

The job was done quickly but thoroughly with a great quality of workmanship.  Again, unlike some of his competitors who fit standard sized loft hatches, Dave makes his hatch surrounds from scratch using wood as opposed to using pre-formed uPVC units, allowing more flexibility in the installation.  I have no hesitation in recommending Dave's work - he offers good value and good quality.
